Experience Details

·       8+ years of experience in technical roles in computing infrastructure or cloud technology including SAP Hosting cloud technology.

·       4+ years of experience in “SAP HANA” hosting on cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure cloud.

Skills

       

·       Broad understanding of  Microsoft  Azure public cloud infrastructure services and technologies,

·     Familiar with strategies to migrate SAP workloads to Azure including data transfer, Network, Storage, Compute, Backup, Security, ASR, HSR, etc.

·    Familiar with Azure infrastructure services to support SAP workloads including SAP PAS, ASCS, HANA DB, SLA/High Availability, DR, Data protection, Compliance, Monitoring, Licensing, Interfaces, etc.

·    Familiar with Build, Deploy and Test Azure resources for SAP Workloads using ARM and manage access using RBAC.

·       Familiar with SAP application and infrastructure housekeeping on Azure and schedule maintenance for planned outages, recovery plan for unplanned outages, etc.

·       Previous experience of Cloud related projects, including migrations

·       Ability to communicate and coordinate both internal and 3rd party technical resources

·       Strong end to end IT Project Management experience

·       Familiar with the concepts of managed serviec

    Analytical skills and the ability to structure complex problems

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills in English

Role

·       Closely work together with KAUST IT team, System Integrator team, and Microsoft Azure team (“internal and external teams”) to evaluate and agree on the final design and reference architecture of SAP Hosting Solution.

·       Provide the technical opinion in the design process.

·       Prepare SAP inventory of existing SAP landscapes and architecture including SAP workload performance, SLA and metrics.

·       Closely work together with internal and external teams to deploy the SAP Hosting solution to Azure cloud and operationalize Azure SAP Architecture, Performance, Storage, Application, Database, Network, Security, Backup, HA, DR, Patching, etc.

·       Closely work together with internal and external teams to define the scope of Cloud Infrastructure Managed Services.

     ·       Facilitate the transition of Managed Services to fully operational status.

 

·       Monitor various aspects of the ongoing Managed Services.

 

·       Closely work together with internal and external teams to provide all the requirements to Implementation team for successful SAP migrations.

 

·       Support strategic communications on all management levels.

 

·                           Monitor overall progress of the Hosting solution project.

 

·                          Prepare and communicate  any follow-on action recommendations to SSAT manager.

Full Details

       

SAP Cloud Hosting Consultant will be responsible for coordinating multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders internal and external in the migration of KAUST SAP business applications to the public cloud, primarily focused on enabling hosting solutions on Microsoft Azure cloud. The successful candidate will work closely with KAUST internal and external teams to finalize the design of the SAP Hosting solution, its deployment on the public cloud, and the successful start-up of Cloud Managed Services. The ideal candidate will have an established background in public cloud-hosted SAP environments, ideally on Microsoft Azure, a solid understanding of Azure and SAP architectures,  familiarity with SAP Basis operations, and experience with working in similar migration projects.
